ETUDES NG Login Instructions

If your instructor uses ETUDES-NG to deliver your online course and you are officially registered, you will be able to login or access your course, starting on the first day of the quarter.

Once you know your User ID and Password, you are ready to login at the ETUDES NG Gateway:

https://etudes-ng.fhda.edu/portal

To figure out your ETUDES NG User ID and Password, click on your answer to the following question:

Continuing ETUDES NG User

If you have taken an ETUDES NG courses before, then your User ID and Password are the same as you used the last time you logged in! We don't reset them.

If you have forgotten your User ID or Password, try following the instructions listed for New ETUDES NG Users or request to Reset Password.

If the last time you took an online class was Summer 2007 or earlier, you may need to manually enter your login information and accept a security certificate when your browser prompts you to do so. You can read more information about the security upgrade that took place November 2007.

New ETUDES NG User

If you have never taken ETUDES-NG courses before, then you are a NEW user of ETUDES-NG. Use Option 1 or Option 2 to figure out your ETUDES NG User ID and password.
Option 1: Tell me my User ID and Password
Option 2: I'll figure them out myself using this key below:
Your User ID
the first 2 letters of your first name +
the first 2 letters of your last name +
the last 5 digits of your Student Identification Number (SID) Do NOT use your Social Security Number (SSN)!
Example: John Lennon's User ID would be jole45678 if he had a Student Identification Number (SID) of 123-45-678
Your Password
MonthDay of your birth as listed in the Foothill College records
Example: If your birthday is April 11th, 1982 (04/11/82), then your Password = 0411 The Month+Day value is always 4-digits (mmdd) where a single digit day or month starts with a zero.

If you don't know whether or not you have already taken any ETUDES NG courses, then try following the instructions listed above for New ETUDES NG Users.

If that doesn't work, please contact our Student Help Center or call us at (650) 949-7446. If you don't know your Student Identification Number (SID), you can find it from the Foothill Registration system.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you have any trouble logging in, be sure to check the System Requirements. The ETUDES NG Gateway has buttons on the leftside of the screen where you can check on System Requirements, get Login Help, or Reset Password.
